Using data from decades of patient experiences, HCA Healthcare Intensivist Services has developed and successfully implemented programs that resolve issues facing today’s intensive care units and provide patients with the care they need when they need it.
When setting up these programs, our experienced staff is heavily involved, on site, collaborating closely with facility management. We continue to manage the program post-launch by providing monthly operating reports to focus on quality and financial performance.
Our comprehensive approach to intensivist program management begins during the admissions process. Our protocols for ICU admissions address many quality parameters frequently overlooked in critical care.

Intensive Care Consortium (ICC Healthcare) was launched in 2005 by a group of physicians with a mission to improve the quality of care for critically ill patients in the ICU. In 2011, ICC joined forces with HCA Healthcare to broaden the scope of our offerings and improve the overall quality of care for our patients. Today, support from HCA Healthcare Intensivist Services reflects our commitment to the care and improvement of human life.
Under the leadership of experienced physicians, Intensivist Services builds solid multidisciplinary ICU teams, streamlines patient care plans and drives quality through implementing comprehensive best clinical pathways.
Our network of support
HCA Healthcare Intensivist Services provides critical care services to 10 Divisions, 12 States and over 60 Programs across the HCA Enterprise. Our group employs over 400 Intensivists and 250 Advanced Practice Providers who care for an average of 1,100 patients per day.
