Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC)

Improving care through partnership

At HCA Healthcare, we believe that the voices of our patients and their families are essential to delivering compassionate, safe, high-quality care. That’s why we’ve established the Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) — a collaborative group dedicated to improving care delivery through shared insight, feedback and partnership.

Who we are

The PFAC is made up of patients, family members and hospital staff who work together to enhance care delivery. Our advisors bring diverse perspectives shaped by personal experiences within our hospital, helping us understand what truly matters to those we serve.

What we do

PFAC members meet regularly to:

  • Share feedback on hospital policies, programs and services
  • Collaborate on initiatives that improve safety, communication and comfort
  • Help design patient-centered materials and spaces
  • Advocate for respectful, inclusive care for all

Why it matters

By listening to and learning from our patients and families, we can create a more responsive, empathetic and effective healthcare environment. The PFAC helps to ensure that care decisions are informed by those who experience them firsthand — making our hospital stronger, more transparent and more aligned with community needs.
